The TV watch- now where else did I see that...?

Q's joke that Bond's autograph isn't for him but for the Official Secrets Act... reminds me of Connery's quip that it's against service policy to write endorsements when Fatima Blush demands his signature.
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

He's all thumbs here. It's painful to watch.

Apparently he was really keen to play it as a straight James Bond performance...like most people involved here, he wasn't really on the same page as anybody else.

No, approaching the halfway point. Oh, I could kill a treble scotch.

I really liked Peter Sellers. Most of the Pink Panther films are really quite excellent, BEING THERE is close to being a masterpiece, and THE PARTY is a lot of fun. He's also excellent in DR. STRANGELOVE in three roles.

He's all thumbs here. It's painful to watch.

Can we discuss that at the end? Too long a discussion for right now

Edit- Golrush has alluded to it.

Music “Sir James’ Trip to Find Mata “ and "The Indian Temple"

Sir James' trip to find Mata is a real snooze...the only part of the film where I find nothing to enjoy. Every other section has its amusing moments.

The film showcases a variety of comic styles... the Q scene is very 'English' in its dry comedy.

just checking in to see how you're all doing with the film, and...
omigawd, you poor people! I've never seen such trauma!
can we get some emergency medical attention over here right away?

Was there any point a plot or an atempt at having one at any point in the movie-making process? Does anyone know?
See this thread about the unproduced Ben Hecht script that was being developed round the time of Thunderball.
Yes we are living in the wrong parallel universe where we got this "funny" version instead.
But if youre secretly liking thiss, you should watch Whats New Pussycat next!

The reds, oranges and pinks. The costume designer on this movie was the same as on LALD. Solitaire's showcase dresses have a similar exoticism.

He doesn't get to do much, but its always nice to see Bernard Cribbins turn up.

And I do like the visual gag of the East side of the wall being lit with a red glow.

I can't believe that either- only a dedicated James Bond fan would have done such a thing

Bernard Cribbins. Solid actor, voice artist and the best thing that happened to Jackanory and Dr Who. (Twice.)

This time I'm watching a Region 2 DVD, so it's slightly sped up and I haven't paused at all yet. Will have a quick pause now.
