    I'm checking out.

    Permanently.

    Sad to hear that, DS.

I was looking forward to your thoughts on Never Send Flowers, too. :(

I recall Dan Same seeming to voice some disallusionment about one (possible some) other members. Dan certainly was an intelligent but also opinionated poster and I think he grew a little tired of trying to get the last word in on many of his discussions (truly an impossible feat for such a dynamic place like AJB). I remember he popped in a few months later to give another go, but it apparently didn't take.

    Hi,
I’ve been a fan of James Bond since I was a kid. I remember watching Octopussy on the cinema (my first ever James Bond film) and being completely amazed by the film. Unfortunately, when the next Bond movie was released my parents didn’t allow me to watch it because the title “A view to a Kill” meant that it was too violent. Anyway, as soon it was available on the video shop I rented it and enjoyed it. Then I rented all Bond films since Dr No onwards. It was like heaven, watching one or two Bond films every day during a few days. Even by some kind of miracle I watched “The Spy who loved me” on the school cinema.
So, I grew up with the Roger Moore films and, though I consider that Connery was a better Bond, I kind of like Moore’s Bond.

Then came Timothy Dalton (TLD is one of my favourite Bond films) and Pierce Brosnan (who did a good run and has some nice scenes). I liked them both, but I wasn’t impressed by their Bond. After them I thought that nobody could be as good as Connery or Moore. I was wrong.

I remember that a very good friend called me and told me that I shouldn’t miss Casino Royale, that he had just watched it and that it was awesome. As I usually don’t watch trailers (just a glimpse) or read reviews, because I like to be surprised by the films, I entered the cinema without a hint of what was coming… Oh, my god! I was completely blown away. This guy, this Daniel Craig was really impressive. This was James Bond for sure.

Well, since then, I’ve become even more of a James Bond fan, I’ve been collecting Bond stuff, I’ve been reading your wonderful forum and I’ve been preparing for Skyfall (this will be a very long month).
Tomorrow, October 5th, I’ll wear my Omega Seamaster and my Tom Ford sunglasses, and I’ll enjoy the 50th Anniversary of Bond, James Bond.

I'm checking out for a while - I want to concentrate on my The Bondologist Blog.

I may return here or I may not.

    I prefer CBn to AJB.

I've had my fill of this place. It's clearly not been designed with literary James Bond fans in mind!

    It's been an experience.

    Goodbye.

Yes...you seem to mention the fact of your favouring CBn almost more than anything else...makes me wonder what your intention was for coming here...

There is far more to Bond than just the books...important though they are...and that is one area we are hoping to improve in the near future...

    Goodbye.

Who am I? Well I make images move and stuff for a living, currently live in the UK and enjoy humming the James Bond Theme (come to think of it, my life is like the coke zero advert)

    Anyway, Hi (waves)

Anyway, thanks for the warm welcome, my old mates Thunderpussy and minigeff!

    Hi,

Newbie to the AJB forums here. Have been a closet JB fan for years but tentatively peeking through the gap in the doors to see what's out there.

I will be honest from the start; I have been using the site for a while as a resource tool and can see that it is THE place on the net for the true JB collective. Therefore I would really like the opinion of the guys on here for a new bond-themed business venture I am planning. I shall post more details in the 'events' forum (forgive me if this is the wrong place).

Look forward to being part of the community.

    Hi,

I have been a Bond fan since I saw my first 007 film Live and Let Die in the mid-1990's. I am looking forward to Skyfall as I imagine many of you are.
