I'd forgotten, that The late Robin Cook ( The foreign secretary at the time) resinged
over Blair taking Britain to war, as the public was against it. It was illegal and it was
Common knowledge that Sadam Didn't have weapons of mass destruction. It's all
    In his speech.
So Blair's excuse that all the intelligence pointed to WMDs, is just more spin to
    Protect himself

And let's not forget Dr David Kelly who mysteriously died, a man who had inside knowledge of the doctored dossier. I sat amazed last night that it is sad details of saddams weapons storage were lifted from the film the rock, starring our very own Sean connery, even this has a Bond connection.
Hope wade and purvis are following this story.....it would make a great bond 25 story piece.
It was either that.....or the priesthood

It is crazy, "facts lifted from a film" 8-) sounds unbelievable. Also how could the late
Foreign secretary Robin Cook. Be getting different intelligence Information to that
    Blair was getting.

It is bizarre, but instead of sending in the troops, why not just send Nicholas cage?

Blair should be hung out to dry ,typical socialist ,every one must be equal apart from him ,whats his monetary worth ,millions
I would love to be a socialist like him ,
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

If there is any justice he should be tried for this, my concern is that military personnel will become subject to prosecution also.

I see the Ruskies are playing up again , see my post 11,904 on random chat , if we leave the Euro confine ,that will be the Ruskies excuse to probe the wests weakness . I cant see how the highly educated public school twits who advise the government could have missed this .

Just been announced at nato, that the UK is commiting 4000 troops to shore up eastern Europe border defences, 500 will go permanently to a Base in Estonia, some to Poland and a 5 day response ready task force of over 3000 to remain stationed in Germany and the UK.

Actually the Ruskies have already won a lot from Brexit.

All european economies are on a way downhill after the Referendum and they'd love to fill some gaps.
I am just hearing that the Richemont Group (Cartier) rise prices 10% because of the weak GBP - other companies to follow - not only in the luxury field.

What I find remarkable, just after the decision, the financial minister announced higher taxes - for the people - to enable the BoE to take the necessary measures to protect the currency and economy.
Some days later, tax drops are announced - for businesses - to stay competitive.

So, it's pretty obvious - and I've said it before the decision - who will pay the bill at the end and who won't

And before someone is telling me that tax drops for businesses results in more jobs etc - the Swiss example speaks against it.
When they dropped taxes - some big players moved their HQ, but hardly created many jobs.

Won't happen...they 'announced' that as well - didn't take them long to backtrack on the proposed tax rises ! :s
Also said there will be a cut in the interest rate {[]

More sad news several more police officers shot in Louisiana. We seem to be
    living through terrible times.

There is so much bad going on the world that I thought something positive wouldn't go amiss ...

Today, for the first time, I saw the Channel 4 advert for the Paralympics in Rio. It's called 'Yes I can' and is 3 minutes long but it amazing .....

My nephew is visiting - very enjoyable! He is three years old and claims to remember his time in the womb :D
He also likes to sing, both in Norwegian and "English". I doubt any of us would understand a word of his "English" songs, but they sound clearly English anyway. The sounds and intonation is unmistakingly English, but his R's suggest he is singing in an American accent. :))

On QI, they had a song by an Italian DJ, which was a hit in the 70s. Although just a jumble
Of half phrases, with no actual words, it sounded English. :D

Now if they can get the Pokemon to start running away, so the kids have to run after them, we might just be able to reduce the obesity- related impact on NHS services ...
