Well, a couple of things. One, the idea that they are 'lightened up superheroes.' Perhaps, it's my reflexes kicking into gear, but when I read that, I read 'not tough enough.'
That's my impression of them-- relative to Connery, Lazenby, Craig and (admittedly to a lesser degree) Dalton. I think this is mainly because (the first three very obviously) come across as though they are genuine, real-life tough guys, whereas with Moore and Brosnan it seems to be more of an act. This is one of the big reasons that the first three are my favorite Bond actors-- they weren't so much pretending as exuding aspects of themselves that were already there.
Now, this isn't to say that I dislike Moore and Brosnan-- far from it-- it's just that their Bonds, for the reason just mentioned, seem to me to represent a "lighter" version of the character in comparison to that of the other four actors.
I also don't know how they are more of a superhero than Connnery (GF/TB) and Craig (he's incredibly athletic to say the least.) Not that it's a bad thing. I don't think that Bond being a 'superhero' (f he ever was) is in itself a bad thing.

Finally, people refer to them being Americanized, but I honestly don't know what means. The accent? The mannerisms? When I watch Moore and Brosnan, I don't think of American heroes.
