Thanks to Bleuville for that breakdown of cars per film. By chance I was doing the same thing, but you beat me to it.

Don't forget to add the three subscription gift items under YOLT, AVTAK & GEye.

    Regards.

It's a little late, I know, but I was really looking forward to a 1/43 Kenworth Tanker or Professor Joe's Taylor-Dunn golf cart. ;) I would have also taken the Jeep CJ-7 or Dodge Ram but not yet another Rolls Royce Silver Shadow.

I think JBCC have so far missed an opportunity with the LTK Dodge Ram. If they used a translucent coloured plastic similar to the water jets on the TB DB5, but this time orangey yellow to simulate fire, it could be shown with all four wheels ablaze! :D

Re Arronax's post #1985, I know we've discussed the Kenworth truck before on the forum but there isn't a display box anywhere near big enough for it ... unless they come up with a new super-huge one, but it would have to be a foot and a half long for the complete tanker (= 45cm) !! I suspect as a model it would be too expensive to produce also.

Here is an example of a 1:43 scale Kenworth W900 tanker with scaled dimensions:
    http://store.shop72.com/kew9oiltainb.html

Maybe they could just have the tractor unit by itself, as in the movie ... http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_6710-Kenworth-W-900-1987.html ... but even so it would need to be really tall, approaching 4 inches (about 12cm).

It's a shame because it would be a fantastic model to have in the collection ... still, you never know!

    Cheers,
    Rhinoman B-)

PS Canuck007, in your post #1553, did you ever get that white Kenworth truck tractor model finished with a diorama?

I also collect 1:50th scale trucks , the Kenworth Tanker would be a perfect addition to the collection. Packaging would not be a problem as some diecast manufacturers already use similar boxes for their range. Corgi produce mainly for the US market a kenworth tractor unit which has been paired with many different trailers. 1:50 seems to be the standard scale for trucks and albeit they don't look too bad next to a 1;43 car. I may be wrong but shouldn't there be a trailer hitch for the horse box?

    Hi everyone,
Another two weeks have passed and another model to the collection has arrived. This time, Issue 98 gives us the model replica of Valetin Zukovsky's Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II. Hope you like the piccies...

By the way, the next in the series - Issue 99 will be the 'Range Rover Convertible' from "Octopussy". As always, can't wait... Some great photos of that can be seen in entry 1,989 sent in by "MovieCarFan". Like a few of the other guys, I would have liked to have seen the horse-box added behind the Range Rover but...

It looks like the Range Rover is another IXO model rather than from Universal Hobbies as all the ones in the long boxes seem to be coming from IXO ... so while the Range Rover without the horse box certainly doesn't need the long box, it got one anyway as that seems to be the only size box IXO is using.

Maybe they will include the Horse-Box as a seperate item at a later stage ??,but how would it be attached to the Rover if there is no towing hook ??????. -{ :007)

Does anyone know what the Magic number 100 will be??? -{ :007)
  • FACTFACT Station ZPosts: 320MI6 Agent
Yeah, the leaving out of that Range Rover's towing hook was a bit of a blunder! :#

Now that Issue #99 has been confirmed as the Range Rover, I wonder if GE Fabbri is going to stick to having the Miami police car (Ford Crown Victoria) from CR as Issue #100? As I was saying on another forum a couple of days ago, I feel it would be a shame if such an insignificant car is the one to take the collection into triple figures!

With any luck the Bondola from MR will be bumped up one spot on the release schedule - it's not a car but it is a very iconic Bond vehicle, which IMO wouldn't be a bad choice for the "century" issue.

I agree the Bondola would be a good choice, because of the quirkyness ( I never know how to spell that!!!)..Please not another A.M.!!!....It's a wee bit sad to know that we are getting near the end of the collection...it's been a long & expensive trip...but I have enjoyed it !!!..I wonder how many have fallen by the way-side?? ,since the collection has started? -{ :007)

The Bondala would be fantastic. Personally I think the AEC Regent bus from live and let die would be a great 100.

    Still waiting for 96 and 97? :(

This model looks much better with the front facing away from the diorama. From the rear or the side it looks kinda ordinary.
  • pspmpspm Posts: 8MI6 Agent
Another shot. Wish I could turn the front wheels so that they turn out they way they are on the cover.

If anybody out there fancies making their own Renault Turbo model diorama from 'Never Say Never Again', I just came across this on eBay:

    rsFv9.jpg

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RENAULT-5-TURBO-1982-1-43-IXO-MODEL-NEW-G87-RED_W0QQitemZ310208286178QQcategoryZ68399QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3907.m263QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DSIC%26itu%3DMRU-220%252BUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BFICS%252BUFI%252BDDSIC%26otn%3D20%26pmod%3D120633113217%26po%3DLWI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D5015268043990784504

It looks like it just needs the bumpers repainting in black and 'turbo' T-cutting off the sides - it'd be interesting to see someone have a go at it including base and background pic :)

Soooo . . . . I'm guessing that none of these vehicles from the comedy version of "Casino Royale" are on your wish list:

    http://imcdb.org/movie_61452-Casino-Royale.html

There are some cool subjects in there:

    Bentley 4½ Litre Blower Special

    1965 Jaguar E-Type

    etype003236a7hk.jpg

And the 1958 Bedford CAS Mk2 Milk Truck
