    Some dick head on the tv today was moaning that a certain toy shop in the UK was going to be shut this Christmas Eve The Director of the company (they have numerous branches) replied quit simply that ,,they never open on a Sunday ,and as Christmas Eve was a Sunday they would be closed ,Well this selfish moron who’s astion group called open longer on Sundays ,was moaning that shops and especially this toy store was going to be shut and there fore he coulndt buy any presents .Well I have 2 things to say to this selfish bastard . (1) you have had 364 days and plenty of notification Christmas is coming,and (2) if you wasn’t such a bleeding busy body worrying that shops were not open on a Sunday ,you could go shopping on the other 6days of the week ,and I’m sure if he had to work on Christmas Eve ,he would be crying his human rights were being eroded

    I have worked many years in retail.
    Here, the 24th is the big date and Christmas meant for me working until 14:00 then hit the car/train/plane and travel 700 km to my family.

    Once every 7 years when the 24th fell on a sunday, it meant that I could be home earlier and I am sure a lot of people that work in retail see it the same way.

    And now, people have no better idea than taking that valuable day for retail workers away and open on a sunday... X-(
    Completely agree, I remember as a kid when everyrhing was closed for a couple of days the only exception were the little shops run by Indians who did a sterling trade in batteries and cigarettes. Now some people are online shopping after Christmas dinner!

    Thanks TP, it actually has gold flakes in the paint which gives it an almost dark dark bronze look in certain light.
    The old Red one is being taken away today, it's going to an Alfa specialist who will no doubt break it for spares so it will live on in some respect, it's been a great car covering over 180k miles with very minimal maintainance so quite sad it go at the hands of a coat thief, but hey ho out with the old and in with the new. -{

    The scene of William Shatner stepping out from behind the video screen in Airplane 2 is just about the funniest visual joke I have ever seen - when I first saw it I collapsed with laughter :)) -{

    So Nick Clegg has been made a knight :o I'm guessing for his work for the conservative party . like making the Lib Dems go
    From almost 60 MPs to 8 :))

    Ah, thankfully the wishy-washy Liberals can all fit in a cab again. :D

    But he was Deputy PM in the Coalition Govt of 2010-2015 so it's an honorary thing more than anything. I suppose the whole thing is, though. The Empire's not what it was...

    Sign of the times a poor government rewarding mediocrity, quite sad really as he has done little since his short time as an understudy!

    When a government is in disarray poor decisions get made unfortunately, must have been short on nominations this year.

    Call me skeptical, but I'd guess it was a condition of him agreeing to the coalition.Ive said it before but the most honest man who was legally allowed in parliament was Cromwell when he went to kick out all the MPs! With a majority made up by the army

    Are you saying the solution is a new military coup?
    I hope not.
  • ChriscoopChriscoop Belize Posts: 10,449MI6 Agent
    No not at all, but. Have no issue with the sensible man sick and tired of corrupt politicians removing them and making up his majority with the army.... Which was frowned upon but not legal.

    I hope you mean "unclear"! :D

    My rant for tonight:

    People who come into a pub at, say, 12.30am (cos the others have closed so they go to the one with the later licence) and find a band is playing. The band have been playing for hours, let's say since 9pm and are just at the end of their 2nd set cos the bar manager has told them to stop at 12.30am. The rather drunken latecomers demand "one more song" so the band naturally obliges, then when they won't play on and on the latecomers get all annoyed as if the band are being divas, some shouting abuse.

    Yes, I ment "unclear" :))
  • ChriscoopChriscoop Belize Posts: 10,449MI6 Agent
    I meant illegal, there was no law in place at that time and it was believed that the army was the true representation of the people. I don't like military coups.

    Don't mind windows 8 but the windows 10 update and subsequently all the other updates are chronically bad and unreliable.

    My pc computer is a new laptop by acer. I am not impressed with the windows ten. My old computer was windows 7 and even though it was not new when I bought it it was a good computer. I think some body here will be able to tell me but a friend at my work said that I could run the windows 7 from a usb drive and choose windows 7 or windows ten. This I will do if it is correct information because I think windows ten is the worst of systems.
