As for quality, everything is the same when compared to my brown one that was released way before all this. buttons, cloth, stitching all top quality.
That looks like a dark espresso brown to me, not black. I re-watched skyfall last week and the collar in the movie is either dark brown or black. Tough to be sure as the scene was dark. The movie coat did not look light brown.
I think the dark brown looks nice. Just my opinion.

I don't know to what this is in reference, specifically. A catch-all solution if you're unhappy with your coat is to sell it now, as you could likely get your money back quite easily from another eager collector.
I have the same distressed leather that is in the pics above. I thought screen-accurate was black, but I don't really mind it.
At least yours is brown..... Mine is very definitely black and it is not very noticeable from the navy of the coat. Jacket still looks good but if you we're hoping for the contrast and to wear collar up then it does not look anything like on the website.
Really not sure..... Thought the brown would be but the one he wears on GQ cover seems to have very dark brown or black collar. Difficult to see in the movie as the lighting is so dark.
I guess we could ask graham at BR what is the screen accurate one used in the movie, black or brown leather but then that could open up a can of worms!! I will try and post some pics.

Well mine is not a reissue and from the one and only run before your reissue hence I guess the SA one is same as mine!!!!
FYI I emailed Graham about the leather trim concerns about a week ago. His prompt response was: "Everything will be identical to what was used in the film, down to the thread."
I've expressed my concern and they have reassured. Ive decided to hang tight and have some faith in BR. Remember that you could always refund or sell if you are disappointed. Just my 2.
I think there is some brown gradients seen...the original one I have is slightly lighter, but my reissue is most assuredly brown...more like a coffee brown or slightly lighter. I would wager the screen used ones on craig are brown, whether dark or lighter unknown as of yet...happy to give a Graham a heads up on the leather but last I spoke to him he confirmed they were all created in brown.
But perception is reality so I empathize with those that see black!
Sorry for the awful photos lighting was pretty bad! The back of the neck in light can be seen as very dark brown in dark lighting looks black. As for the pockets they just look black all the time lighting or not the picture taken of the pckets had light shining on it so is reflecting off but really does look black

RYH666, thanks for posting the photos of your coat, though I can't tell for sure what the color is based on those pics. I'll take your word for it that it looks black (or at least a very dark brown). Your coat looks nice, by the way!
The delayed coats are still not shipped. I don't like this delay and i had hopes that the coat will arrive this week. A month late. I hope there is not a second delay.

Dark leather patches wouldn't be that bad for me. But i don't quite understand why they made them in a different color. It was a really nice contrast on the first pictures

Hi RYH666....not sure if I really like it...not what was shown on the website or what other people seem to have. I would most likely wear it with collar down anyway and I love the cut of the jacket but someone is definitely telling porkies as there are a number of different versions floating around. I would expect some kind of quality control to make sure they are similar leather. I can understand if there are slight differences due to natural varaitions in the colour of the leather but when they are completely different that is just plain wrong. As you can see it is black or very dark brown with cracked leather in lighter colour. I would be interested to know if anyone else has the same. This has been taken under a flash and under normal light it looks black or similar to cat colour and blends in.

Love that brown that was what i was expecting and i have black leather would have much preferred the brown but not much can do about it now?
