    I read about a stage magician who was hired by the MI6 during WWII to teach his tricks to agents. They used the skills to slipp documents, keys etc. to contacts, but also to sneak poison or knockout pills into people's drink. Someone with those skills would make an interesting henchman, ally or perhaps bond himself could make use of skills like those.

    Jasper Maskelyne, used his skill to even hide cities during WW2, making
    the Nazis bomb unused areas, even disguise cars etc as tanks to fool spotter
    Planes. :))
    I remember reading about him years ago, when I was in The Ulster Society
    Of Magicians. ( I know it sounds sexy, but it didn't get me as many girls as
    You'd think ) :))
    Of course Bond has used some slight of hand before, switching the Fabergé
    Egg in Octopussy -{

    I like the Type of Villains who are disgruntled. Kicked out of somewhere and have huge Chips on there Shoulders.

    Imagine Bond eating dinner in a posh restaurant with a villan with those skills. Allways watching if somthing is slipped into his wine, food or pockets. Maybe Bond even manages to outwitt him and "give" the object back to the villan. Today it can be a USB flash drive or a GPS tracker.

    Craig's Bond needs scenes like this, where he shows cunning and slight of hand insted of crashing through walls.

    I agree, that is something missing in the recent era.

    Although Craig's Bond used his cunning to out smart Le Chiffre at poker. :D
    As well as using some witty comebacks, then again Bond always was
    " a cunning linguist !" :))

    I'd like to see an action filled PTS unrelated to the main movie ala octopussy/goldfinger

    +1 -{
    I'd love to see an old style, big stunt / action filled mini adventure
    With Bond ending up in the arms of some excotic lovely. :))

    That would be delightful! A nice return to an older tradition without being a nod to the past which I think we are ready to move past.

    In the Style of TMWTGG, where the Villain is introduced before Bond has appeared.

    I think an unrelated pre- title mission would be a good idea. Maybe something involving Bond being undercover as a mole in some form of terror group. We discover he has been penetrating this group for some time and it all comes to a head when he disrupts their planned course of extremist action, revealing his true identity and saving the day. Not sure what type of terror group it could be or what their plan is but you could use the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour bridge as the location for the action. Its about time Australia featured in Bond!

    I would like to see a good gambling (or maybe sporting) scene where Bond gets the best of a cheating villain.

    A sporting scene would be a good idea and not used in a Bond movie for a while. The last film I think was AVTAK. In the novel Devil May Care Bond had a tennis match against the villain. Maybe something like that or squash or polo?
  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 21,795MI6 Agent
    I think the sporting scene should be diving. Bond is a first rate swimmer and diver. Imagine Bond and a female villan/henchwoman competing in retieving diamonds thrown into a pool or tropical waters. There could be sexual tension and the villanesse cheating by Bond who outcheats her. :007)

    How about some sort of Cult as the Villain Entity? Like in Scorpius -{

    As I was going to sleep last night I thought it would be great if the henchmen in Bond 24 was a nasty, sadistic, vicious American law enforcement official and his name was J.W. Pepper.

    Named after his father perhaps?

    Excellent with the sporting scene. I am hoping for skiing and diving scenes, but something similar to the golf scenes Goldfinger could also be cool e.g. a polo match or similar.

    But the more I watch the DC movies, pleeeease spare us for any love-trouble or other personal problems, I just want to see a professional agent.

    Isn't that pretty much what happened in Casino Royale ?

    Or, instead of having Bond taking on the villain, he could take
    on his leading lady in a sport / game but in a sexy way. As in
    The chess game from the original Thomas Crown movie. ;)
