Still on the fence about this one. I really like the combination of the silver dial and the rose gold indexes. However, not sure about the size, would the 38.5 mm be better? If I buy it it will end up on a bracelet eventually.
I tend to agree, but for some reason everytime I try them both everyone (salespersons, girlfriend) prefers the larger version on my 7.25 inch flat wrist. Maybe I should be more stubborn, I am every other chance I get )
Most of the time I wear my SMP 300. So not an overly large watch at 41 mm and it looks smaller compared to the AT because of the bezel (at least I think that that is the reason why the AT looks like a dinner plate on my wrist compared to the SMP that is essentially the same size).

It's not giving the correct time and needs to be calibrated and slowed down, which no watch dealer wants to do because it's not real. Not sure if anyone can help me on this or refer to me to a 'reputable' dealer of JB OMEGA watches.

If you have a look through this thread there is some info on buying a second hand omega, one of our members has just taken the plunge in the last couple of weeks. As for getting the "faux" one adjusted, if it's some sort of automatic then it should be a relatively easy fix that any watch repairer could do, the biggest problem being finding one prepared to work on a fake watch. You would just have to ask I suppose and be prepared to be told no. Saying that I'm sure there are many who will be fine with doing this. Infact you might try just doing a Google search and finding out how to do it yourself. I really don't know if fakes will use a movement such as an eta or other mass produced movement or whether they just make their own?? there is always the risk that you open the caseback and the thing falls apart at the slightest touch or has poor quality parts that have worn out. Do you have any pictures of the movement?
I wouldn't spend a penny on a fake.
It will cost too much money for a watch that has no resale value.
I would use the budget to buy the real thing.
You will not be disappointed.
With a small budget, you can buy the first Omega diver model (Pierce Brosnan era).
It has a quartz movement, but you have the look.
They now sale around EUR1000.

Aside from the fact that fakes are bad and rubbish, no watchmaker with pride and knowledge will touch your fake for good reasons:
1. To regulate a mechanical movement the error rate must be constant!
How should he regulate a watch that runs 10 sec- at one day and +15sec on the other day as an example?
These chinese fake movements are in a quality range so that they can't produce constant errors, so any regulation does not make sense.
2. Liability:
If the watchmaker opens the watch, the gaskets may get destroyed. Or something else may get damaged during the opening/Closing process. And there could be previous damage or damage happen during the regulations.
Or the watch may not be waterresistent after the regulation or in 3 months?
Then the customer will scream "You have damaged my watch - you must repair/replace it to me free of charge!"
So even if he's willing to do that - what is he gonna do? Source spare parts from the fakers? Buy and import a new fake watch for you?
That aside, anyone with a minimum of work pride will not touch it.
You have knowingly bought a fake watch - so deal with the consequences {[]

My Skyfall AT felt a tad small (long gone). But I expect now it would feel fine!

I used to go from my huge chunky deepsea to a 39mm Explorer. Always felt bizarre for the first 30 mins!!
Only thing I wasnt sure about with the 38.5mm AT was the thickness on such size. On 40 odd mm it didnt feel so odd

I think it was 4 watch batteries, It is back with it's maker now.
Four watch batteries with what sort of motor? Is that how the screen used one was powered also?
Im not sure what motor he used, the real one was powered by an hi pressure air line.
