You can't beat a fry up {[] although I've never liked beans with it and
Just good friends was a funny show.

Out of interest, TP, since you mention not wanting beans what's your ideal fry up?

Mine would be sausage*, bacon, egg, black pudding, potato scone (? potato bread for you), tomato, toast (not fried bread) and... beans! With HP sauce and strong tea.

*In Scotland we have a variety called square or Lorne sausage, but traditional links are fine.

Much the same only I'd have the fried bread, with a "soda Farl" with loads of butter
the eggs have to be very runny, and ideally some white pudding with the black, but
    no beans. :D

I could live without the beans, but find white pudding dull- never tried soda farl!

It's like a rough bread made from buttermilk, I'm sure there's
something similar in Scottish cooking, it's lovely with cheese.

For you TP. It's commando. A seasonal thing. Considering its summer out here in NZ.

Well, if you're interested .... mine would be:

Fried egg, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, beans ,fried bread and ... a slice of fried Christmas pudding! Fried Christmas pudding with a fried egg is delicious ... Navy thing apparently.
  • ThunderpussyThunderpussy Behind you !Posts: 63,792MI6 Agent
I seem to remember something about fried Christmas pudding, but the egg with it
is something new for me. ;) I also forgot the mushrooms :)) I love them.

Not a fan of mushrooms (quite the opposite, in fact) but the Christmas pudding sounds intriguing- hm, might give that a try in a year's time!

My Mum used to do the fry up with Christmas pud on Boxing Day .... Highly recommend it :)

    I must admit.
    I approve of this Barry White music which is playing. -{

Chatting to the wife yesterday ( we still do on occasions) ;) I mentioned the
Fried Christmas pudding , and she told me that I had obviously forgotten about
One of my aunts who used to love it that way. So that explains where I'd heard of it. :))

Barry White is just fantastic, love his music and remember seeing an interview with
Him, were he said his voice broke when he was around 12 or 13. I can't help but imagine
this little kid running around with Barry White's deep, deep voice. :))

Toying with a globe my daughter bought, I pointed out to her some of the far away places
some AJBers are based. ............... Almost like the tentacles of an Octopus's covering the
    World ! :D

I saw Barry White twice in concerts back in the 90's when I lived in the UK - he and the orchestra were amazing - the sound was identical to his records which is pretty rare on live performances.
Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.

I lost my globe when moving - very sad as I thought the world of it :D
Pinpoint about halfway down the Philippines and that's where I am - about a thousand miles from the equator.

I like my disc" Flat earth" globe, I don't believe in this modern thinking. :D

I'll go looking for your location, but it is interesting to see just where so many
of us are. I wonder do we have anyone in Baja California ? ;)

Yeah. Barry White was fantastic. He sadly died in 2003. When he was 59.
You gotta love his "love's theme", "can't get enough of your love, babe" and "your my first, my last, my everything".
Been painting the house. And listening to him. Such feel good music.
I also been listening to the new Enya album. Which I adore. I know she is an acquired taste but her voice is just so good!
I reckon she could do a cracker of a bond theme. I would be happy if it wasn't the title song but instead a romantic piece like "we have all the time in the world", playing over a scene in the film.
As far as where I live on the globe?
Wanganui, New Zealand. Middle of nowhere hahaha.
Though I am moving to Wellington this year, for university. To study law and English.

Listening to the radio today ( Don't know what station) they were having
their big quiz, you'd keep going until your first wrong question.
First bloke on, a big pub quiz fan and a big reader of quiz books etc
His first Question ( to ease him in)
Who wrote, Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang ?............................. He didn't know. :))
Obviously not a Bond fan. ;) ..... So on to next contestant.

    Technically right ? :D
