    I just saw a movie about a few men with mustashes who were trying to get somewhere before some Englishmen. When they got there one of them asked where north is. The rest of them pointed in different directions. Where were they?
    Sorry, I don't get to og to the cinema very often anymore :s

    I heard last week that true North is changing all the time, magnetically speaking, and doea actually flip completely, if we assume the worlds axis spikes out vertically from its axis it actually doesn't by a considerable amount of degrees.

    Yes, the magnetic pole moves around. if you go far enough to the north you can't really use a compass.

    On first seeing the film "The Core " I surmised that's what was sending the birds crazy, the change
    in the poles. ……….. I get most of my scientific knowledge from movies :D
