Anyone else avoiding the Sony hack?

readpaulbreadpaulb Cleveland, OhioPosts: 86MI6 Agent
So I was thinking this morning that I'm awfully concerned that someone will post some bit of the Sony hack on facebook, twitter, etc X-( , and how I really don't want my Spectre experience ruined by spoilers.

Is anyone else with me on this? I was glad to see today that no one has posted any information, as I haven't been on the site in a few days and I was a little worried I might see spoilers. Personally I don't know what I would do if someone had a leaked full version of the film before it was released, but I want nothing to do with reading a script that could ruin the surprises that this movie certainly has to offer.

Just my opinion and I was a curious to know others' as well considering everyone here is a serious fan.

Also, it's been days since I've been on the site due to finals in school/trip to Los Angeles/etc so if this has already been discussed feel free to close. Thanks!

I'm avoiding as many spoilers as I can and made a point of not
Looking at the stolen Sony stuff. Although from others who did
Look, they're saying we're in for a huge epic Bond film. {[]

I'm glad you're on board TP, I don't want to be the only guy avoiding this. The only things I read were that Sony execs basically hate Adam Sandler and Angelina Jolie, and even then I was paranoid I would see something Spectre related in the article.

Well, seeing as this is at the top of every page now:
With regards to the recent hacking attack on Sony Pictures and the release of documents relating to SPECTRE, please be advised that this website is not to be used for the publication of copyrighted material. This information is still the property of Sony Pictures/EON/MGM etc. and has not been released in to the public domain. - Simon
I think we all HAVE to be avoiding the Sony hack intel, at least on this site. I for one am happy about that. AJB needs to be spoiler free and within the law on this IMO.

Even the CNN article spills too much. You're going to have to steer WIDE to avoid the stuff.

I was planning on avoiding this sub-forum anyway until SPECTRE is released to make sure I won't read anything I might regret later. Unfortunately I read a few things on a Dutch news site I wish I had not.

Anyway, Ill be back by the time I can give my review on the most epic Bond movie ever (fingers crossed :))

The irony of CNN doing that is too much. I'm sure if they were hacked they wouldn't want everyone airing out their dirty laundry. Media will be media though.

Unaware at the time of the significance of the Sony hack I took a look at one leak (3-4 pages) that was linked on here, solely because I thought it was def 100% bullsh@t. This appeared to be the case especially the way it was written with all the spelling mistakes etc

However..... glancing over it some of the content had things that only a proper fan of Bond / Fleming would have knowledge of (not the casual fan) which makes me think it could be totally legit.

Will avoid anymore from now on and hope that a lot of the stuff I read has been re-written by Purvis and co.

To be honest the official 007 sneaks leading up to Skyfall kind of spoilt it for me. I remember watching the PTS in the cinema and being underwhelmed since I had practically saw the whole train thing to some extent countless times already.

I try and avoid spoilers if I can, and have no interest in knowing the plot before the film...

If I hear things here and there, then fair enough. But I don't go out of my way to see anything that will give away major points.
I'm happy to see pics though... anything with Daniel is fine by me...

I'm happy to read as much as I can about the upcoming Bond film...I read the script of Casino Royale before I saw the film (quite a few probably did too) and it didn't spoil the film for me in the slightest !
    There is a Spolier thread here at AJB and we hope we can count on everyone to remember that when they post here...again, please be careful what you post...thank you -{

One of the things I find comforting, is that it's been stated that
SP will or could be one of the most expensive films ever made.
    On various media . :#
Which if true, shows the confidence, the Producers and film
    Companies have in Bond. {[]

I'm with you, friend. I'm avoiding spoilers like the plague this time. The less I know about the film going in, the more I will enjoy my new Bond movie experience. I'll even try to avoid the trailers as much as possible when they are released, because I believe movie trailers in general show way too much these days.

I'm glad to hear someone shares this opinion. I'll probably watch the trailer out of pure excitement, but I was having this conversation a couple weeks ago in regards to the star wars teaser. A few of my friends were complaining that it didn't "show anything." Personally I prefer it that way, I watched a comedy last night and was unable to laugh at multiple scenes because they had been in the trailer.

+1 -{ although the Bond film trailers are usually better than many in avoiding revealing too much.

I will be doing my best to avoid anything related to the Sony hack, especially on the television news outlets. It is shame that this happened, just as SPECTRE got announced and filming started.

I am not averse to Bond spoilers. I like to collect enough information so that I have a pretty good idea/outline of what the film is all about. I find that useful, and it does not spoil anything. And not knowing everything means there will still be surprises in store when the time comes to watch the film.

In fact, I sometimes look over one or two other forums, as you sometimes
Get a bit of news etc. But even with spoilers , There so much info slipping out
    I don't think I'll bother anymore.

I agree with so many people on this but I will use your post for this BLeiter,

MULTIPLE Thunderbird Too! - I think one of the reasons CR-06 is my outright favorite Bond film is I knew absolutely nothing about the film except that Mr Craig and Dame Judi were in it when I saw it. Although I have followed this rule since TND, with CR-06 it was particularity satisfying as it was the first one in the brave new world of Social media. On top of that we are talking about info that has been leaked / stolen / illegally distributed. - Thank you and goodnight! I'm pleased AJB reflects that feeling to a fair degree.

    Dutchfinger, sending you a PM....
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

I know this will sound a little far fetched, but could this leaked have originated from EON themselves in order to disinform about the real plot of the movie? :o

    Not impossible, but doubtful.

Apparently it consists of emails about different drafts, with different characters that are present in some, not present in others. Sounds a bit weird.
