The film version of NDIB ends abruptly, while the record version has a long fade where Carly Simon sings various vocal lines. In one of these she says “James”, which could refer either to 007 or her then husband James Taylor. Given that she’s famous for NOT disclosing who she’s singing about (“You’re So Vain”) we might never know!

More ground-breaking. There had been a romantic song before (FRWL end title) and a song about Bond (TB) but this was a very new sound for a Bond song. "You're so vain... I betcha think this song is about you, doncha? doncha?"
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

Barbara Bach is my #2 Bond Girl - after the gorgeous Claudine Auger!

But her acting is terribly wooden, if anyone has noticed....

    M!... I mean, Admiral Hargreaves

I like to think that Admiral Hargreaves and the successor M are one and the same character...

It's too bad that Barbara Bach is so flat of an actress. She's got the right exotic look but she really isn't that good at expressing anything with her face.

    Sad but true

    Was Bach dubbed?

I agree Barbara Bach gives a bland performance... but her look is great for the film

Here James and "Freddie" are on first name terms- later, certainly not!

Funny how Bach and Richard Kiel would work under Guy Hamilton on FORCE 10 FROM NAVARONE.

Hated that film! Very poor sequel to "Guns Of Navarone"

These two guys were familiar character actors from the time... they were both in different episodes of The Sweeney, for example, and probably other Euston Films TV stuff...
