    No problem at all. I'm a Dalton fan myself :007)

    James Bond ranked #5 in 100 greatest movie characters behind #1Indiana Jones, #2 Batman, #3 Han solo, #4 Ellen Ripley........Ellen Ripley ?:) a greater movie character than James Bond! Who votes in these things.

    Of course you’d go round the Salford ground (it’s not even IN Manchester :)) ) as you live in London :D
    Old Trafford is still the football ground I’ve been to most - my father used to take me there every home game from when I was aged 4 - up until around aged 10!
    My sister and her family took the Liverpool Football Club tour last week - it looks amazing...I must do that soon...

    Yes indeed! It’s been an absolute bugger trying to get the wheel rut tracks out of the Anfield pitch...all that money spent and they are scared stiff of passing forward at Anfield 8-)

    We drive on the right. The Swedish drove on the left until 1968, I think. They changed to the right side gradually for safety. Trucks and buses first, the other cars followed suit the next week. :D

    The old road wasn't as safe as it looks on the photo. If you steered too far to one side you would probably become an invalid, the other side was certain death. But on the Bright side the view was pretty good and driving was never boring.

    Now it's boring;

    Lord, I saw that film (on TV, even I'm not that old) many years ago. Starring the very wonderful Patrick McGoohan, who just might have been Bond back in the day, and featuring...

    AA_OLD_MAN.jpg

    ... a young man with a very bright future.
  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 21,795MI6 Agent
    The thing was: the police was never a part of the equation. You drove as fast as you thought was safe, we didn't care about the speed limit. Sometimes that meant slower than the speed limit, sometimes it didn't .....

    It was hard to get visits from our friends in the small town because their parents didn't want to drive there Not just because of the driving conditions, but also because of avalanches. I remember one time a portion of the road was simply gone.

    I wonder if our Swiss friend can contribute with some stories about driving in the Alps?

    I think Stanley Baker was considered as 007 too. Three potential James Bond's in one Movie!
