I don't want to go on about it too much, but it's been a long
time since I've enjoyed a series as much as Hannibal. It's
well written, with a brilliant cast. Even the sets and use of
colour ( especially Hannibal's office) are all terrific.

The second season of Guillermo del Toro's The Strain began last night on FX. This is what vampires really are--hideous, disgusting, blood-sucking monsters, not emo teenagers. Great stuff. Hope you're getting it in the UK!

Letter, to urge the government to not cut the funding to the BBC .

Watched Marvel's Agent Carter, I really enjoyed this, loved the 1940s
setting and some of the old tech gadgets are fantastic. -{ it also looks
to have very high production values.

Channel 5 are showing this series, so far only two episodes but they do look fun.
It's a European production and it has some great fights and car chases ( for TV).
From watching a few specials on stunt work around Europe, some of those German
and French crews can do some amazing stuff.
Perhaps because it's a European production, there are some " Boobies" on show.

Just finished " Hannibal " series two. Once again a brilliant series.
The cinematography is stunning, some of the " Dream sequences "
look amazing, along with the great acting and clever scripts. -{

I just finished another great original series on Netflix--Bloodline, about a family that runs a swanky inn in the Florida Keys, whose lives are upended when the black sheep of the family comes back. It's really intelligent, with flash-forwards to the fate that befalls one major character, so you get to see what leads up to it; and flashbacks to one tragic incident on November 11, 1983 (my 17th birthday!), that brought on all the troubles in the first place. The acting is also great, with Ben Mendelsohn playing Southern white trash so well it's a surprise to realize he's Australian; and Glenn Morshower, the beloved Agent Pierce from 24, playing a very, very bad man. The whole series unfolds like an absorbing novel. . .I recommend it!

The first episodes struck me as kind of slow, but I stuck with it, and I'm happy I did! Give it another shot, LR! (And how is it being shown in the UK?)

No aspersions being cast, SM. . .I simply figured the UK would have its own streaming services. But, after being dismayed to see Starbucks and Subway in Dorchester a couple of years ago, I shouldn't be surprised.

A great start...just not sure how they can stretch it out over 4 (I think) series...but looking fwd to seeing how they do it.
