Does anyone have the solex adjutator, and if so some cool pics would be great!
  • CJ007GoldeneyeCJ007Goldeneye LondonPosts: 587MI6 Agent
Also some cool shots of the dart wrist gun, specially interested to see where the darts are loaded and if the back opens up to reveal the loading chambre!
  • thespyboys11thespyboys11 Lindenwold,NJPosts: 1,845MI6 Agent
The wrist dartgun does not open...at all.
The darts are loaded by inserting them into the barrel....
You see Bond do that in the film if you watch the film closely.

You need one complete item for the back half of the unit and an extra front half to complete the front, have a look at Ed's pics of his cutaways and when you get one in your hands you'll see what I mean.

Right then guys, its time to pick your brains on something.

Admittedly, its not a bond related item, but something someone who makes stuff might know.

    So, heres the question;

    What the hell is this?

    p213901140210.jpg

    p213902140210.jpg

    p2141140210.jpg

    p2140140210.jpg

    p2138140210.jpg

It measures roughly 1/2 inch, 5/8" diameter, is made from steel and the spike is roughly inch and a quarter long.

The spike slides real smoothly inside the bell shaped cap.

My first guess would be a centre punch or maybe a scribe of some kind, but the blind holes drilled into the underside of the bell are a complete mystery.

The code 'BDL 160 S507' is engraved into the side.

This was my grandads and most of his stuff was 1940's era tools. Tool making, mechanics and coachbuilding has long been in my family, so it wouldn't surprise me if it was a tool associated with any of these roles.

So then guys, any idea what it is for sure and what use the holes have? :s
