    hi everyone,
just got hold of my new ranger gun to start on my GE piton launcher project, does any one have a better image of the original on dispaly at the science museum as the one i have is a bit small to measure. I noticed that some replicas are a little different from each other and i'm trying to match the 'screen' one.?:)
has any one made theirs fire the spike with the existing mechanism or produced any of the screen effects ie. 'winding in' etc.
This is one of my favourite props of the series.

any help from you 'old masters' would be great....

    cheers fellas :007)

There were 3 screen used Piton Guns, Rubber, Winch and Gas, the one on display is the Winch Gun.

From what I know there are no working models made so far, being in England, fireing a Piton Dart would make it very dodgy. :D

Theres one displayed at the science museum?

    old masters?

thats me out the frame then :))

being as there were 3 separate pitons to create the look of one, i wish you all the best of luck making yours work.

just don't make it fire anything. even a tethered projectile is naughty.

i did'nt mean i would be be firing it into any concrete any time some... :))

its always nice to try and make the props actually carryout some of the proposed actions meant for on screen accuracy, i think it brings them more to life a little..... wouldn't you agree...:) there's been enough discussions in the past about the accuracy of the GG and when others haven't hit the mark.. :#

    anyway i digress 8-)

is anyone of you 'experienced', 'knowledgable', 'talented' creeping now... 'die hard' bond prop Masters, going to help me with some references and info on the GE piton ?:)

i assume you're refering to the GE piton gun?

It was made from a WGP Ranger paintball gun, they're pretty hard to find these days, most 'ballers use more modern systems but keep hold of their rangers as its such a good back-up apparently. I managed to find mine after several searches and eventually found one, I think in America.

    Good luck with your search!

Jimmy as MG mentioned the GE Piton was made from
WORR GAME PRODUCTS (WGP) vintage pump action Ranger paintball gun.

Original WGP Ranger has 9" barrel and comes with 7oz tank. These sell between $150 - 450, depending on the condition.

    Hope you'll find one -{

Anyone know was colonel Bouvar's throwing knife custom made or not?
It looks very similar to one of the Case XX throwing knives.

However, the handle is different than for example Case XX 303.

Also it could have been german wurmesser...

    Hi Folks,

I know this is old topic but has anyone made a high-res screen picture for Vespers M600i phone,
which Bond examines on yacht deck in the end of CR?
My friend from Sony gave one real deal for me and i was going to use it as display only.
