Could be, but then again, it could not.

There is absolutely nothing in the press conference that could be taken that it is. In fact, by the very nature of Craig's comments that he's not concerned about being type cast, that Broccoli and Wilson "changed his life" and that he's happy to still be working, I'd say that he's going to continue for a little while yet. And why not?

I agree and in another interview he said something like "I'll keep doing them for a few more years yet" so I can't see this being his last.

Interesting that he said 'we need to reach for the stars with this bond film' or such.... I think they are fully aware that QoS didn't quell everyones thirst.

Still not sure about the title. But with the background info... it does seem to fit.

Can't quite beleive that it was the registration of the name by sony that got it leaked. I mean, that's surely a schoolboy error - or perhaps, like someone I was speaking to today said - it was a bluff... "accidently leaked" to see peoples opinion/reaction.

I like the title. And after reading the small plot synopsis I think it goes well with the plot. In other words, M's sky is falling.

Announcing the Bond title is compared to announcing the host city/country for the Olympics.

Damn, I wanted less M and rogue agent angles. Oh well maybe it'll still be done well.

Would have liked Risico, but I can see it working. The logo looks cool! I am so excited by the cast. Just hope that Mendes is up to the job!

Title is growing on me, logo isn't too bad either, gone for the same font/typeface as the last two though and it's getting a bit old, let's just hope that there will be a new arrangement of the Bond theme for the trailers etc. as I am also sick of the CR arrangement.

Oh, and I'm guessing there is no moneypenny or Q again :(

Just one more thing I'm pondering, in the conference when asked about the budget Michael G. Wilson commented on using the same crew as the previous two films including designers, visual effects artists but I'm a little confused, does this mean we can expect 'MK12' to return or will Daniel Kleinmen return? I hope it is the latter!

Is it just me, or does the description of Skyfall sound like The World is not Enough Part 2? I will have high hopes. But another personal Bond mission is not what I wanted. For the 50th Anniversary they better have a good illustrated poster. Especially with the Mondo craze that's picking up. I guess I'll watch the full press conference later tonight. After that, I'm going to pass on all the info except the posters.

Title is growing on me. Kinda wish they'd explore Quantum more, maybe the next film?

Me too. I'm getting use to the title "Skyfall" too. It's like "Moonraker".The title plays an important part in the movie.
I like how Sam Mendes is keeping so many secrets and surprises for the 50th Anniversary movie.
Javier almost slipped and said something, but I think it was Sam Mendes who interjected.
The actors sat their like they couldn't say not one word about the story.

Their was no mention of Helen McCrory at the press conference. If she only has a small role I was wondering if she was playing "Miss Moneypenny"? ?:)

I wasn't all that keen on the title at first, but it has grown on me and I actually think it works quite well, not exactly Bondian or Flemingesque but it works. I was thinking about it last night, and it would make sense if SKYFALL means when the head of Mi6 is killed/lost/abducted/corrupted etc - as the top layer of Mi6, the 'sky' has 'fallen' - codename for this; SKYFALL.

Well, the Mirror has form when it comes to dissing Craig, remember its reaction to the CR press conference: James Bland as a headline, chiefly cos their chit of a girl reporter had an opening question about Craig's love life and he clammed up and got depressed.

I stopped reading when I read the word 'lame-ass', I mean really; I know it's a rag of a newspaper but you'd expect a professional journalist to be a bit better with words. It sounded like a classroom note passed between students.

This is what I loathe about parts the media today; they will instantly dismiss something and put negative spin on it. This was a press conference introducing elements of the new James Bond film. It's a fairly big deal. Surely a journalist could get more miles out of being positive about it and perhaps doing a feature on previous Bond titles a la Empire Online. Alas no, it seems it is fashional these days to put a negative spin on things

If anyone checks out the Vote for the Name, Skyfall ( at the moment. near the bottom of the page) it seems to be going down well with the public.

Really? That far in? I stopped reading after "Now, I haven’t watched a Bond film since I was forced to for Media Studies A-level back in 1999". Yes, she's clearly approached this one with an open mind.

My opinion on everything we know at this time. As I previously mentioned I do not like the title, too short, too abrupt, but titles are really not that important. Very good cast, I believe Javier Barden will be a very good villain and some of the smaller supporting characters have very good actors filling them. Not crazy about the Bond girls, Naomi Harris is a good actress, she is attractive, but lacks sex appeal. Berenice Marlowe is very pretty, but is similar to other actresses that have been cast in Bond films lately, tall thin model like, but not voluptuous. I love some of Sam Mendes work, American Beauty and Road to Perdition were excellent films and both were gorgeous films to look at. So hopefully the cinematography that I feel has been lacking in the recent Bond films will be upgraded and we will get a beautifully shot film. The locations, London, ShanghaI and Istanbul could be interesting, although Istanbul has been done before.

So in summary, at this point more good than bad, hopefully we get a good theme song, although I am not holding my breath, and perhaps we get a great film. Now about the guy playing Bond..........ahh never mind.

How about Albert Finney playing Bond's father, returned from the grave? The last scene is set in Scotland, and Bond's father was Scottish. Ben Wishaw as Bond's illegitimate sprog? They mentioned that they couldn't divulge the parts that Ben, Albert or Ralph Fiennes play in the film, as the names would be familiar to fans, and/or give too much away. Could Fiennes be playing Blofeld after all....?
