At least they'd have paddles, to use as weapons :D

One of the unique nice things about Bond films is they cross generations and are a rite of passage. I took my son to his first Bond film, TND, when he was 8 and he hasn't missed one in the theaters since. He's not the Bond "geek" that I am, but he will always be sure to go to the next Bond film. I've always said, Bond is like Santa/Father Christmas, although he doesn't come around every year we wait for his visit with great anticipation, sometimes he brings us a great gift (sometimes not so great), and like Santa, who can be a different guy in the red suit and beard, at some point, it's another guy in the tux.....

Bollinger and Aston Martin bring in the big bucks for the next James Bond film

    The Daily Mail adds:
    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6943577/Luxury-brands-pay-75million-star-latest-James-Bond-film.html

The film will formally launch in Jamaica – where Bond author Ian Fleming lived – later this week.

To illustrate this story the Mail used an old Irish Bollinger ad from 2008 and the first promotional picture of Craig BEFORE he even started filming Casino Royale.

    Talk about sparing no expense....

The UK tv ITV channel Good Morning Britain (GMB) James Bond advert is real. It was on this morning and was the same as the one seen on the guy's Facebook page.

The latest Sassilive.it story, dated 22 April, says that the press conference would be at Pinewood. It also claims the name of an Italian actress will be revealed at the press conference - Monica Bellucci returns?
    http://www.sassilive.it/cultura-e-spettacoli/cinema-cultura-e-spettacoli/james-bond-25-a-matera-conferenza-stampa-ai-pinewoods-studios-di-londra-per-svelare-il-cast-del-film/

The story also has some spoilers.
It refers to Bond's wedding and also seems to hint that the Matera beach will double for Jamaica.

I hope the fact that they're running the ad on TV now means the conference is going to be very soon (next few days). Really keen to see the title announcement.

I would rather see Lucia Sciarra back in Bond25 than Madeline, but getting both back (and Christoph Waltz?) is too much of a SPECTRE reunion.

Yes, I’m looking forward to that too. I’m preparing to be underwhelmed though, as I have the last two title reveals! :)
I wish they’d come up with ones as good as IFP come up with for their books. Well, the ones before Horowitz anyway!

I just have this feeling that the title might be "The Property of A Lady" based upon some of the spoiler bits but I'm probably totally wrong.
  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 21,795MI6 Agent
You could be right, since it looks like Madeleine and her story is central to the plot. It's an unconventional action title, but I've always liked it.

I would be more than thrilled if that were the title.

Would be a proper bondian title and it would put a stop to the silly two-syllable canon.
The name is Walker by the way.

I’m not really that taken with “The Property of a Lady” as a title. They should be able to come up with something better. That said, their last title was the worst in the franchise, so maybe I should be hoping they use Property of a Lady.

I feel the same. I don't think POAL would be good for a Bond films, but it is still better than Spectre.

I think many of us here would love it to be The Garden of Death or The Death Collector especially in light of what that could mean story wise. Death Collector may come off a bit too much like a horror film these days but that bit of footage on the frozen lake would fit. Either of those titles could also be evocative of Fukunaga's style. Speaking of Fukunaga's style, to me at times in True Detective reminded me a bit of Orson Wells, in particular, Touch of Evil. It would be interesting to see a bit of that brought to Bond 25.

I think the Death collector would be a great title. It immediately piques my interest unlike the property of a lady.

Property of a lady conjures images of a murder she wrote episode. No thanks

The Death Collector as a title could apply to a lot of different things: the villain, a weapon of mass destruction or even Bond himself.

They have updated the James Bond advert on the UK tv ITV channel Good Morning Britain (GMB).

The ad ran at 0650h BST this morning and says the Bond coverage is Friday and the advert included shots of a speed boat roaring towards a beautiful island with the voice over saying 'from a secret location,' so it must be Jamaica.

    There's nothing on GMB's Twitter account @GMB.

The advert says Friday from 6am, but 6am is the time the programme starts and not necessarily the start of the Bond coverage. Six am is midnight in Jamaica. GMB ends at 0930h UK time, so that is only 0330h Jamaica time. It must all be pre-recorded.

Thinking about the Good Morning Britain advert and the possible timing. I wonder if we're getting an announcement, a press release, about the title Thursday, and then interviews with cast members Friday. Unless GMA is only going to be doing a sort of trailer segment Thursday morning talking generally about the Bond movies but with no Bond25 news.

I'll be really annoyed if after all this wait, the press conference is in the middle of the night for us in the UK.

I was thinking that after the GMB news came out and something along the lines of 'their Bond special would follow the press conference' was said...assumed that they're either having a bloody early day's start at Pinewood or a Jamaica conference (or possibly somewhere else, who knows) would be prerecorded from the day before.

But great news anyway—only a couple of day's wait now!

Good Morning America could easily cover live a Jamaica-based press conference as their time zones are only an hour apart. Jamaica being an hour ahead. So, one wonders why they are doing Bond25 on Thursday and Friday, and the UK's GMB Friday only.

It could be that it all happens on Thursday and GMB has no choice but to cover it on Friday morning. Their daily adverts would seem a bit over the top if all the Bond25 news is already out 24 hours before they broadcast. I'm mystified.
