Nice work SWJ! {[] It's good to see some more unusual (for Bond) but well-loved cars making an appearance such as the Dauphine, TR6 and Capri - and don't the Jeeps look good? The blown up Lotus is good fun too, I'm a bit surprised no-one's had a go at that before! Looking at all the re-used cases and dioramas you must be amassing quite a collection of unwanted JBCC models -
A: Is someone contemplating a CODE 3?
B: Do the machine guns still work?
C: Did the driver use use the ejector seat to prevent injury to his passenger?
We went down the coast yesterday ,and whilst trawling through many a antique /junk shop ,I came across this .A Goldfinger ,
Aston Martin DB5 ,I quickly paid my £20.00 ,and promptly left, just in case they had put the wrong price on it .ive put my GMT next to it for scaling purposes
Hi to all,
not so much activity here, despite all good work done by all of you.
I have made few mag for the 'Code 5' and don't have much time to spend on small cars... as I started to work on a scale 1 car (Dutton for people that knows)
Looks like the 1:43 Hot Wheels Elite has finally arrived. I don't know, doesn't really convince me - looks a bit crude to me and the rear window doesn't fit (at least on this example). And not to forget, the price is €69.90 ...
Agree with RW, not a very convincing model.
Saw an advert for the up and coming Corgi DB10, hopefully that might be better, but I am not holding my breath

Hmmm.....what IS going on with that back window? And at €69.90 I think I might stick with my several Corgi Bond DB5s, my several JBCC Bond DB5s and my Minichamps Bond DB5!
......In other words I think Hot Wheels needed to do something pretty special with this model to compete with what's already been done in 1.43.

For what it's worth, I just need to get the very first JBCC, the Goldfinger in the Alps DBS. That will do me for my six key cars.
I had hoped to get one or two of the 1:43 Hot Wheels cars for my future Code 4s.* But they are ludicrously extortionate. Even as collectables. Add this questionable construction quality - what IS going on with that rear window?! It's inserted squint like a on a badly done model kit! Also the colour doesn't look right to me, too steel rather than the grey gun metal tone of the real car?
* I have got caught up with the Star Trek Starships collection. I'm building a small fleet. Help!!
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?
Hello to all,
Some code 4, not time to work on Code 3 James Bond... even if I am waiting to new models from Spectre.
Anyway, few mags. code 4 already made few years ago.
Cheers.
Thank you, MovieCanFan. you are right, those movies are more 'French' than worldwide... but models are interesting..
Anyway, new model for the James Bond car collection, with 2 movie new for me :
Casino Royale in 1967 and the new Spectre - The James Bond Car collection.
But that gives the number 183 !! Ans i stiil have some ideas and work... but not enough time for the moment !
This is background cars for Spectre, we are all waiting for new DB10 in 1/43.
Neat covers as usual, DDenis - glad to see you are still on the job {[]
I've started to see a slight upward movement in prices for certain JBCC models again (e.g. the hearses), which is good news for when I finally get around to sorting out my duplicates!

So we have a 1/36 - but I'm really hoping we get a 1/43.......

It's possible a 1.43 may turn up c/o Oxford Diecast (they have a major licencing deal going on with Aston Martin at the moment) but it may not be in James Bond branded packaging.
Unless I was hallucinating (and that's entirely possible) I saw what looks like a relaunched version of this partwork in with the other partworks in my local WHSmith this evening. I didn't have much time (as the shop was due to close in a few minutes) and so I didn't notice the name of the partwork, but it seems to be in a slightly different format from the original car collection. The magazine was sealed in a bag, and stuck on the backing card, with an accompanying car model from Casino Royale. The sample pages on the reverse of the backing card seemed to resemble the design from the magazines that accompanied the DB5 model partwork.
I didn't buy the magazine as my interest in the Bond films is restricted to the pre-Craig films only. Has anyone else noticed this magazine in branches of WHSmith? I can't find anything about it online....perhaps I was hallucinating.

There are two possibilities.
1) Your WH Smith is trying to shift old stock.
2) Now Spectre is out in the UK (it has a few cars in the background) Eaglemoss might be on the relaunch path.
Ben Robinson who is in charge if their Bond, Trek Ships and Dr Who figure part works amongst others, has made one or two Bond references on his Twitter page recently. Nothing specific, but enough to suggest they are up to something Bond related.

I popped into my local WHSmith again yesterday on my way home and had a better look at this partwork. It's definitely not old stock. It's a brand new publication, different from the original car collection partwork, and it seems to be called 'Bond in Motion'. It had 'Part 1' in a large font on the backing card, and as I said in my previous post, the car is from Casino Royale. I couldn't see the publisher's name anywhere on the magazine or backing card. It's possibly mentioned in the small print on the backing card, but I didn't examine that too closely. I assume the publisher is Eaglemoss, as they've had the Bond licence for partworks in the past.

I saw an advert for the Corgi DB10 for the first time today, in a mailer I received from Diecast Legends - they say they expect the item to be delivered in January and be priced at £19.99 ... and confirmation that it will be in 1:36 scale.

Hope you like thoses one :

I've always loved that P1800 - it's certainly Volvo's prettiest ever creation IMHO. Did you use the Atlas Editions model for the diorama?
Yes, I have used the Atlas collection. Please find below the print that I have made to fit the box.
Cheers.
