I'm listening to the Budget speech by the Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt just now and he's mentioned Quantum and Quantum computing a few times. Is this final proof that they really do have people everywhere? 😮

For years I've hada public struggle with Autocorrect because it clearly hates me, but has a sense of humor. Today I take solace in thinking of people who suffer more because of automated language programs. A female member of the Norwegian parliament (Stortinget) took part in a discussion on TV about the prices of medicine. It was automatically subtitled for the hard of hearing. But at one point she used the word "Stortingsrepresentant", meaning essentially Member of parliament. But instead the subtitles said "stor tissefant". "Stor" means "large". "Tissefant" is a word children may use for a "p*nis". 🤣🤣🤣

Good luck to this young man - he reminds me of myself when I started my secondhand book career aged 17 in an indoor market. If you can read, write and do basic mathematics then you can do anything you want if you have the passion to do it.
Ismo Leikola is from Finland. He talks a lot. This is extraordinary. Sometimes he speaks in pretty good English. That's even more extraordinary. As a bonus he is also very funny:

The issue of books being re-written for sensitive readers is ongoing with children’s book author Enid Blyton. Blyton was probably the first author to have works published in censored editions and this continues to this very day. Like a lot of British kids I was brought up on reading her books, The Famois Five, The Secret Seven and The Five Find-Outers being her most loved series. I made it a rule to never sell censored versions in my shop and I’m so happy to see used bookshops of today doing the same as in the article below.
A Florida principal had to resign after a parent complained that 6- graders were shown pornography. The "pornography" was a photo of Michelangelo's statue of David. I don't know if I should laugh or cry.

I’m reading that Agatha Christie is the latest author to be censored. HarperCollins are editing out all racial stereotyping words from the new editions of the Poirot and Miss Marple series. Apparently the word oriental is being removed from Death On The Nile, so will another book in the Poirot series be called Murder On The Express now? The only good thing to come out if this is that secondhand bookshops will be increasing their turnovers as readers who have a brain will search out the original editions.

Today has been a big day for me. I have managed to leave my home and go for a walk out side for the first time in this year!
I know it may not seem like an ahievement to many and it was only a short walk but to me it is a sign that I am getting back my strength.

I think that's called a Freudian slip. She clearly had more pressing matters on her mind.
It wasn't her who did the slip, it was the automatic subtitling program. That was programed by a nerd, and nerds never think dirty thoughts. 😉
