I have an idea that may quickly put us over the top on this project. I see that the ajb007 Forum has 7180 members. I know there are many areas of the site that I have never explored while there are others that I check on a regular basis. Theoretically most of the forum members have likely not exposed themselves to this thread. Would it be possible for one of the moderators to send out a broadcast PM and / or email to every single one of the 7180 members of the site directing them to the thread for information. I think it would be a great way to spread the word and generate a great amount of interest within our little community. I've been posting pretty regularly for the last several months but I honestly can tell you that I have not explored 90 plus percent of the site. If just 1% of the forum members jump in, we're at 72 shirts and that's not counting the guys who have already commited to two.{[]

I was in the first twelve to sign up, but I haven't verified if I'm still in. Funding could be an issue for me, when do you need to know for sure?

I'm definately in for 1. Please add me to the list.

I think £300 is a fair price for an exclusive tailored shirt.

    US$300 - not GBP 300

    4) however, the no ebay policy will be policed pretty harshly. I have a personal lawyer, and I work for a US firm who allow me private council in the US. I'll have no problem taking this the whole 9 yards if i feel it necessary.

Little bit of a concern here. If you turn a blind eye to "group" buys, how will you enforce the "No Ebay" policy when only one member of that group will be signing or agreeing to this policy? There would be nothing binding with the other members of that group and thus, preventing them from selling their shirt on Ebay. That's why I feel one set price for these shirts will totally eliminate this from happening, as every purchaser of a shirt would be signing this "No Ebay" agreement.

I agree - in this way, each shirt is numbered and is assigned to a collector.

Perhaps it would be possible to extract DC's measurements from the shirt that Mantis got from T&A?

Understand your concerns, and it's pretty simple. The "lead" buyer of any illicit group purchase will be required to sign in blood ;)

If he/she then on-sells, he/she takes the responsibility of the others actions. If we decide to prosecute any abuse, it'll be that individual.

Guess it's a case of "pirates know your crew members.."

    Hope this'll help you sleep....

On the issue of the single price, given the dissappointing response todate, I felt it might encourage more by rewarding multiple purchases with a discount.

Clearly if it looked as though it was being abused, we'd have to review it.

But this whole episode has been so tiresome and frustrating, surely there must be an end in sight!... 8-)

Can't believe I 've never seen this topic before and have just read all 14 pages.

I'm just a DVD collcetor and a couple of books and am not into the shirts and accesories etc.

Why don't people who cannot stump up for a $300 dollar shirt but feel comfortable around the $250'ish mark, go in with some one buying a shirt and share the costs.

    eg
Buyer A buys one shirt at $300 for self
Buyer A buys 2nd shirt at £230 for Buyer B

    Costs for Buyer A and Buyer B = $300+$200 /2 =$265 for each buyer (£132.50)

    eg
Buyer A buys one shirt at $300 for self
Buyer A buys 2nd shirt at £230 for self
Buyer A buys 3rd shirt at £230 for Buyer B

    Costs for Buyer A and Buyer B = $300+$230+$230 /3 =$253 for each buyer(£126.50)

I thought we were here to help each other ....?

    Brilliant idea .... cheers ... {[]

Just when I thought I'd answered most of the dangling threads, I re-read this one...

I feel I may have done those worried about group orders a disservice...

Let's face it chaps, we're all on here to help each other enjoy a franchise we love...

Some of us spend fortunes just to execute that desire....we thrive on it, and while some have called it a sickness, it's generally harmless...

So I'm probably not alone in my total and utter lack of comprehension, that some might try to defraud others on this forum, involved in the escapade, by grouping togther under a single buyer, in order to save a few $'s...

As I said, I can't legislate for what happens in the bedroom, but I just don't believe anyone who is a regular on here, would do this to their fellow collectors/fans/junkies... :o

Therefore, if others remain worried on this, I suggest we limit the number of extra shirts to one, or maybe two. That will probably make such conspiracies practically impossible en masse. :s

But please can we put this pricing issue to bed once and for all?...

    cheers Paul

    Simon:

On the first post PW mentioned: "Also, there is no limit to the number of shirts you can buy; maybe one in your own size, and one in the exact size worn by DC?... "

    is this not correct?
  • sruzgarsruzgar Welcome to ScotlandPosts: 1,468MI6 Agent
    texas007,

I think the operative word in PW's post was "maybe" Unfortunetley we can not guarantee that they will be open to making any in DC's size.

    I will enquire again however

I would be also interested in getting my shirt in DCs size. So, it would be great, if you could ask again, thanks
