I completely agree she can look good with appropriate makeup and clothes. I think it's both unfortunately :s I'm wondering whether she is auditioning to be Morticia because this look?? Scarily reminding of her :)) :))

Now THIS is the original Bond girl look . It's incredible how it is so simple, yet classy and effective. And, well.. sexy :D

I know, that I am in danger to loose some sympathy, but Eva can do better.

I did not like her at all in CR and most of her dresses are pure horror! {:)
And her Dracula eyes offfff 8-)

I thought (and my wife agrees) that her best look was after the shower where she had her makeup removed.

    That t-shirt is mine!!!

I dunno - I quite like Eva's dress. But then, it's my kind of thing. It doesn't go well with the way she's got her hair or her make-up though. But I could quite see myself in that dress.

But I'm often accused of the Morticia look. Difference is, I can carry it ;)

Now, thats a great look. You can see why she was chosen in that photo. She goes too OTT with the Gothic look. Maybe if she toned it down it would work better for her.

And I agree with you and your wife Bondtoys, she did look at her best in the shower.

I am seeing spots thanks to all those damned smilies.

Please don't shoot me but - I like Eva Green. There is something about her that I find well, smoulders! {:)

I agree the dresses she has worn to the premires are well, yuck! I thought she looked amazing in CR, and she can look stunning as Bondtoys has demonstrated. (Thank you sir!) Maybe she likes being unconventional? It could be she is sponsored for the things she wears?

We all try different looks. As a man I am proud to say I have experimented in the past myself. Even now I don't look exactly like my pic at present. (Link below) But I intend to go back to it. Well, almost! :007)

Here's a question for you ladies. - If you could have only one Bond girl outfit, (yes only one!) - What would you have, and why? You can include accessories and shoes.
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

Eva also looked good in the scene where she visited Bond as he was recovering from the torture. She didn't have a lot of make-up on then either.

Thunderbird 2, why is your 'usual everyday shot' an wide open shirt look??? :o ;)

Hmmm....any Bond Girl outfit....y'know I reckon it's safe to say I'll be on my own with this one, but I quite liked the jumpsuit pilot outfit Xenia Onatopp wore to fly the stealth 'copter ;)

Maybe it's the crash helmet look I'm going for.

    NOW we're talking!!! :v :v :v

I agree with your wife completely Bondtoys, shower was her best look. I like the look in the photo you posted much better than most of hers, but the girl's got to understand that either she does something and gets a tan or she better completely redo makeup, eyebrows and hair. And pick very different dresses. The dark lady look works for some, but clearly not for her :s

Ravenstone.. you mean you want my t-shirt?? :D :D :D LOL

And it's true.. some can carry the Morticia look, I just don't find it working on Eva. She has nice features, like Gemma, but these girls really need a better stylist. I'm wondering if Eva always wears Dior now seen as she has a huge contract with Dior fragrances or whether she picks random.. because if she manages to pick all the bad pieces from the same stylist, she deserves a prize :)) :))

Now this is a VERY good question. I think (and I have just proved it since I brought photo t to the my tailor to have a copy made for an event I'm going to) I would pick the dress Pam Bouvier wears after her makeover, at the casino. And I'd pair it with those dark blue Sergio Rossi sandals I was SOOO in love with this summer. And I have an evening silk handbag (baguette) EXACTLY that colour that would be perfect with it. Dream ooooonnn :D

Ravenstone I completely understand your Xenia choice.. she was a baddie, but a heck of a stylish one at that! :D

Ok I know we're trying to give Eva a break here (and wait a sec, I never said she is ugly, just that she has bad taste! I find her insipid, but I can totally understand men would find her hot, she's far from unattractive). Despite this, I think I have found possibly her worst look ever . I think this is just.. :))

bigger version just in case . Just no, Eva. She seems to always pick those sack-type dresses with transparent arms..Either that or the Madame Pompadour look at the CR premiere :)) Why, oh why Eva?

I don't find Eva hot; I just think she looks better with less make-up.

BTW, the dress in those photos of Eva is indeed awful, Alessandra. Also, didn't she look like she was about to cry in that first photo? Maybe she was thinking "Why did I pick this dress?"
    :D

    :)) :))

I'm wondering if she has a contract with someone and is obliged to pick from that brand, and they only produce awful stuff? I really don't get it. She would look really pretty if only she just toned down the make up and picked different dresses.

Now, has anyone seen the photos of the Japan premiere of QoS? Because I just found them. They're from Tuesday, so brand new more or less :))

Kurylenko is one very, very attractive girl, so basically she looks attractive even in a trash bag. But.. this look??? . :O :O

a closer look at the dress .

I take it it's a syren or whatever look, but then the dress isn't syren-shaped, so that top of the dress looks like fish ready to be cleaned before being cooked :)) :)) :))

She looks pretty nevertheless, because she's such a gorgeous girl, but the dress? :O Gotta say I really like the shoes though, good pick on that one! And the handbag too :D

I actually really liked Halle's homage to Honey bikini in DAD. It looked fantastic on her. She had a beautiful gown and shoes on in the Ice Palace as well. I'd have to go back and see who it was by. I wish she had her long hair in that movie, she would have been even more stunning.

And this is a tiny thing, but I also have always loved the little crocheted hat that Barbara Bach wears in TSWLM. She looks so cute on that boat when she is disgusted with Bond's comments to Naomi. :)) I've searched for a hat just like that forever, never found the right one.

Oh and did anyone like Field's black dress with the bow at the party in QOS? I thought it looked really good on her. Don't know who it was by. Very simple design, but the bow was cute.

Btw,..there is new girl to the forums, Bella_doc, I've liked her posts. We should invite her over here!

I know Bondtoys, I didn't quite get that either either! :))

There is a another Moviefone poll out of the Sexiest Bond Girl of all time. They picked Honey as number 1, but I was shocked that Kim Basinger as Domino, placed 3rdh rather than Claudine Auger as Domino who didn't place at all??!! :o I much prefer Claudine! No mention of Sophie Marceau either!!

And Ale, OMG that dress on Olga is ...well...just bad. She looks like a peacock. What is with her and Gemma both having the short skirt in front kind of dress. :s

LOVED her homage to Honey's bikini too. About the gown, now I am on a mission to find out who it was from. I really liked tht one as well. I agree with long hair she would've looked even more stunning. But I love Halle, so I am being partial here :D

Very true, I have seen her posting and I've liked her posts as well. I really should do a research to invite all the girls here (seen as it's so very few of us) but I never get round to it. You're right that we should invite bella though. Actually I've been meaning to the other day and then just had to.. work and live life :)) So I forgot. I will PM her to ask whether she would like to come over here :D

And TjustT too. I have never read her posts, not sure why, but it doesn't matter really. Since she's a girl that is good enough to be on the Bond girl Watercooler. :D

I agree with you, Mo, that those are terrible omissions. I would have placed both Claudine and Sophie in my Top 5 for sure.

Besides, a poll that would put Denise Richards above Carole Bouquet, Famke Janssen and Isabella Scorupco is a poll that I can never take seriously or agree with.

I wholehartedly agree. In fact out of all the modern Bond premiere's I'd say Ms Jannsen was the one who looks the most amazing. Floor length satin like that? Oh yes! Funny thing is, its too eas to see Ms Green wearing a dress like that in say, saphire red, and it would look fantastic on her.

I hated Fields dress at the Greene speech. To me it looked like it was made of crepe paper, then spray painted! ?:)

I agree as well. Claudine was awesome, and her photo in that list that Lady Rose put up was definitely among the best of them all, if not THE best. She was incredibly classy and elegant. And those standings are just bizarre? :O

LOL I guess I can't take the poll seriously either frostbitten since I completely share yours and Mo's doubts? Maybe Denise Richards ranked so high because of her show on E!? :)) :)) :))

Ohh that's right! I know because you made me remember: at the time Halle Berry was the face of the Versace campaign (at least here in Italy). So yes, for sure Versace. They have Patrick Dempsey now, which is a VERY welcome change. FOR ME. :)) :))

Oh dear. Eva's latest offering is just ... well.... it's mindnumbing, isn't it? Terrible.

Olga's dress is better in comparison. If you're choosing between which arm you'd rather have amputated, kind of choice thing.

I found out last night I've got my first gig in two weeks' time. A 20 minutes slot supporting a band. So I need an outfit. And I'd quite like something like Eva's Gothic lace number I quite liked earlier on. Bit impractical, but that's the sort of thing that came to mind.

Still, I'll have to find something that ticks the boxes.

Wow, congratulations!!!! We don't have a clapping smiley here but consider that done :))

I'm not sure exactly what would fit you etc, but I find that Coast has GREAT evening dresses and tops and they aren't too expensive (not hyper cheap but not even expensive). You can buy online too if you want at coast.com. You may be able to find something that is gothic as in skirt plus top or a dress even. Otherwise if you don't want to spend a fortune on such an outfit, you may want to try H&M? Sometimes they have this eveningwear stuff for Christmas :D

Thanks, I shall check them out. I don't mind spending if it's just right, but on the other hand - lugging equipment around, hot stage lights, nervous sweating (sorry - ladies don't sweat, do they - we glow!) - the possibility of beer bottles being lobbed, as everyone's a critic.... I need something that will be cool to wear, not make me worry about straps falling off or falling off high heels (I may go barefoot, or get some flat pump things - purely practical reasons). Something that can be bunged in the washing machine and dryer, instead of waiting around for dry cleaning.

Y'know - practical. But fairly simple. Something that will make me feel like I look good, but I won't have to worry about it.
