But I bought this: Similar colour, fits really well, nice collar, nice ribbed material.

Still on the hunt for something else which scratches that N Peal itch but this will do for the time being.

Less 'cosplay' than the 'actual jumper'.

    Nice alternative.

Reiss did one similar a few years ago, around the time of Spectre's release.

I picked it up at the time and still wear it now. If only it fit me like it did in 2015!

So i am getting ready to order the Connolly Giubbino Jacket and i know that i was advised that i should go with an XL. I was a 54 in the Tom Ford Harrington and i wanted to get another opinion as these 2 garments have different shoulder measurements. The XL is the closest in size to my 54 where as the XXL is way too big in the chest! I'll probably go with the XL but a little insight would be appreciated.

I'm usually a 42 chest but I ordered a size "M" in the Connolly : it's a spring/summer jacket so I will wear it above just a T-shirt so I hope the construction will forgive a little bit but above all, Connolly size chart was completely incomprehensible so.....we will see.

If it's really too tight in the shoulders I will ask for an exchange if possible or I will sell it (try to sell it...) here

Sorry it has taken some time for me to upload photos of the Connolly jacket.
I am 6ft with 41-42 inch chest and usually 34 inch waist (probably nearer 35inch at the moment!)
This is the Connolly jacket in a large.
I am thinking of going with this size.
When the lady in the shop first sized me (just by eye) she had suggested a medium but I think that would be too tight.
Hope this helps with sizing for you who are interested.

DC had the drawstrings pulled tighter but this gives you an idea without the strings pulled in at all.

I couldn't work out the size table from Connolly so I've taken photos of me in different jackets which most of you probably have for comparison. I am wearing the R&B Henley in large. The Barbour in Large. The Mango budget linen jacket in large. The Matchless in Medium (it doesn't look pretty when done up!!! and the RGT: first in an XL that I have had tailored to reduce the waist but may help with assessment of shoulders and lastly in a large. Hope this helps guys. Happy hunting!!!

Ah if only it didn't have the ribbed waist. The older version looked better and is closer to the TF.

Just got this photo from my Tom Ford contact that these are three ties from the movie. I can not confirm and take with a grain of salt.

Thank you for this! I feel better about ordering the large. I also have the sense that this jacket is a sleeper. I expect it to be much nicer in person than in most photos. And certainly way nicer than the plain navy Mango,

True, but Reiss's aren't tapered like the TF. I'd have liked the original Reiss if it had more of a silhouette, but without it, it just looks too roomy. The ribbed waist might actually help in that regard.

While I am a bit taller, you pretty much match my chest and waist dimensions.I too went with the large. I hope the body and sleeves are long enough for me.

Yep that’s the most likely model. Unfortunately Danner don’t make them in black so it must have been a one off for production or it was dyed by the CD.

Thanks for the pics! And my two cents: apparently DC wore an XL on the Connolly jacket just in case it serves as reference to anyone.

If it was an XL it was heavily tailored. The arms in the screen used jacket look short.

Yup, I agree. Looks like everything in the movie has been heavily tailored as the originally picked sizes are in principle way too big for DC. Same with the N Peal sweater...

I'm lost, I don't know what size to choose for the Connolly jacket. I have the RGT in size M (as in David Z's video), Barbour size M, Royale Filmwear all in size M, N peal size S, Matchless size S and mango M ...
I hesitate between size S or M if someone can advise me

    Chest 40''
