Does anyone else think they’re just going to skip the press conference this time around? Maybe do something less formal in a few months on location somewhere? Blockbuster films are trending in the direction of heavy secrecy, and given the Sony hacks last time around, it wouldn’t surprise me if EON is happy to follow that trend.

I think they need some sort of press event because that will generate the kind of publicity this film truly needs.

I hope not, the haircut looks shorter than Skyfall.

The haircut resembles the one Mr. White wore in CR. If this is a flashback to the scene Madeleine describes in Spectre it would make sense for him to appear.

I wonder about the story about filming next week too. It makes sense that a security guard would know for how long he's hired, even a guard who looks like he's on Easter holiday. :D
The filming was supposed to end on the April 2. because of hatching birds. Perhaps he's talking about further filming at Lutvann, I don't think that location is inside the nature protection zone.

I agree. I hate Craig's hair in his last two films. Way, way too short. I'd hoped we'd get a film where his hair was longer than it is in qos but it doesn't look like we will. I think the short hair makes him look older and more thuggish.

Probably not a big deal for most folks, and will hardly make or break the film. Just a personal preference.

005 I’m 100% with you on the hair thing. Couldn’t have put it better myself. Although I’d say Casino Royale was the length I think best fits Craig or QOS second. The other 2 films too short IMO. Although minor and doesn’t contribute really, it has a part to play in the overall image of the film.

Hoping for CR length in this camp. Hope to god it isn’t short. Makes Craig look older and don’t think it suits him. Minor detail albeit but important I think

Daniel Craig is in Oslo. With video.

He looks and sounds a bit "off", I think. Could it be a lookalike who's having a laugh at the expense of the journalist?
Or perhaps it's just a bad throath and bad lighting?

You know that's an impostor, right?

You can't really believe that's Daniel Craig, can you?

Oh Yeah, I swallowed it hook, line and sinker - just like it says in the end of the post Sigh. The first line of the post was written before I watched the video.

It looks like the newspaper has realised what I suspected and pulled the story from their online edition.

You posted it. If you determined it was fakeafter watching the video you shouldn’t have posted it. If you post stuff like that you have to be prepared to take your lumps.

I psoted it first before watching the video. It's regretable, but but you must realise this is one of the biggest newspapers in Norway. When I did watch the video I thought it was really strange and commented in my post. I'm sorry I posted in the first place, but you understand most of the time before I posted my suspicions I was translating the article. I was fooled for a moment, but a team of proffesional journalists were fooled for a much longer time.

Well whoever he is, he's got a pretty good DC casual look going on there...but honestly come on, couldn't the "reporter" see that something was off when "Craig" started speaking with a Norwegian accent 8-)
  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 21,835MI6 Agent
I'm not sure it was a Norwegian accent. I think there was traces of an American accent and he said "Nittedal" like an English speaker would. Well, I'm no expert on accents. The journalist must be dreading showing up at work tomorrow, just today a journalist was layed off for six months for getting a sentence in an interview wrong. That was for a political story, but she is in trouble.

The impostor was hired by NRK Satiriks - a humour show. It's not the first time they use impostors. The show's project manager explained the stunt like this:

"We wanted to test out how it is when foreign celebrities arrive in Oslo, and how long it takes before the newspapers react. We sent messages to Dagbladet, VG and a few other media".

The man impersonating Craig has apparently won a Daniel Craig look-a-like contest.

Wow. And I thought the American press was a joke. Have these people ever seen Daniel Craig? :))

I think the TV show's joke was a good one. They phoned Three newspapers and told them anonymously that "Danile Craig" was at the pub. The idea was to make fun of how eager and overexcited they get when foreign celebrities visits these shores. The newspaper VG got a diploma for being first at the scene. The TV show and the imposter was about to pack up and leave when Dagbladet showed up and made a fool of themselves (and … a certain member of this forum :# )

    One week to 5 April.

I just wanted to say that.

And that this date has become important because of Linus Sandgren (https://twitter.com/colliderfrosty/status/1092606350612299777), an unsourced tweet by @JamesBondLive (https://twitter.com/jamesbondlive/status/1098053836906754049) whose date may come from this MI6 Community member Pierce2Daniel (https://www.ajb007.co.uk/post/939885/#p939885) and Ben Whishaw's comments (https://twitter.com/ilariobond/status/1100760318958014464) to Bond fan @Ilariobond.

But, we now know Whishaw is in his New York play from now until 19 May (https://www.ajb007.co.uk/post/942800/#p942800). This article says previews start 6 April.
    https://garage.vice.com/en_us/article/a3bj7b/ben-whishaw-is-ready-to-play-helen-of-troy-and-marilyn-monroe

The last official start of filming date we were given was 4 March 2019, linked to a February 2020 release date, which has since been delayed to 8 April 2020.
    https://twitter.com/007/status/1042688562335047681

I'm beginning to think that 5 April was always wrong.

April could have been a reference to the Norway filming. Where are the helicopters for this flight restriction, will they arrive next week, in April? Is that when Sandgren will get behind a camera, in Norway?

Or does April mean 30 April, now we have Ralph Fiennes comments about filming in May, June.https://www.ajb007.co.uk/post/941635/#p941635

I'm not expecting anything next week and I think all bets are off for Pinewood press conferences for sometime to come.

Finally, can we get a DC look-a-like in Belgrade? ;-) LOL

Could you guys picture Craig smoking a cigarette in his last Bond film or would it just look weird if he did that?

It would look weird. Not sure how that would go here in the United States. Seems like I remember sometime ago people trying to get Hollywood to slap an automatic R rating if someone smoked a cigarette in a movie. If that went through, the filmmakers might want to film an alternate scene without Bond smoking. An R rating really restricts your audience in the United States.
Some people would complain even if you hang them with a new rope

"Daniel Craig cut a casual figure as he caught a flight from New York's JFK Airport on Saturday where he's suspected to join the rest of the cast in Norway to continue filming."

It's not a Baz Bamigboye story so I don't believe that he is going to Norway. Maybe it is 5 April start at Pinewood...?

Looks in good shape from what I can see. They have STILL gone with the terrible short hair from tha lack of what I can see from the sides of his cap. It's a bad look for the older gentlemen and does nothing but accentuate age and craggynes. Oh well never mind. It is what it is. At least he does not appear bloated. Looks like he has put the work in.

I agree—it really does look like he’s put the effort in—upper body looks good and seems to be pretty trim around the middle. But I guess when you’re getting paid tens of millions of dollars as well as getting the best personal trainers, gym access and nutritionists studio money can buy, it’s not that difficult to get in excellent shape fairly quickly :007)

Since Madeline Swann is in Bond25 and what looks like an important scene happens on a lake,
maybe the title is "Swann Lake"? :D

Back in February, when the local/regional newspaper website reported that Bond25 would be filming in Matera, it gave the date of 6 April as the start of filming.
    http://www.sassilive.it/cultura-e-spettacoli/cinema-cultura-e-spettacoli/bond-25-nei-sassi-matera-scelto-set-nuovo-film-della-saga-di-james-bond-con-daniel-craig-riprese-ad-aprile-2019/

I'd imagine that DC is going to Italy via the UK, probably seeing family and then meeting up with the EON/Pinewood crew before they all go to Matera for a 6 April start.
