I'd imagine that DC is going to Italy via the UK, probably seeing family and then meeting up with the EON/Pinewood crew before they all go to Matera for a 6 April start.

Ah, August... OK, Pinewood it is...

The masked guy in white is using a VZ58 rifle. This is the same one Bond uses when escaping Blofeld‘s lair in SP. So I‘m assuming the masked guy has a connection to the organization and ot will indeed feature again in B25. But of course, that‘s all by a stretch...

Since Madeline Swann is in Bond25 and what looks like an important scene happens on a lake,
maybe the title is "Swann Lake"? :D

Going by that logic, Casino Royale should have been called The Nutcracker....

The idea that the scene at the lake is a flashback to Swann's childhood is interesting because there have been very few flashbacks in the Bond films. The CR PTS is the only one I can think of, off hand.

There's a brief one in OHMSS, when Bond relives Tracy being taken by Blofeld while M is talking about their plans.

There are also very very brief flashbacks in MR while Bond is in the centrifuge, reminding him about Q's wrist gun.

I don't know if audio counts as a flashback but there's also the scene in OHMSS where he is clearing out his desk...

I hope I'm not out of place, but do try and watch any possible spoiler discussion on this particular thread gentlemen (any talk about scene specifics from filming), I believe quite a few members are avoiding the other B25 threads and come to this one only for a spoiler free B25 discussion—wanting to keep at least some surprise for their first watch on the big screen :)

Use a spoiler box on this thread dude. There is a genuine spoiler behind the black.

There's an error on this page only. I can't select/highlight any text, and the reply box looks different.

    :))

In that case, what would be suitable titles for QoS and SF?
  • BarbelBarbel ScotlandPosts: 37,734Chief of Staff
    @Quentin Quigley:

Yes, there's a problem with this page. Let's see if it solves itself by page 181- if not, we'll have to open a new one.
  • AugustWalkerAugustWalker Posts: 880MI6 Agent
@Someone How ist that a spoiler? We‘re openly talking about the scene being a potential flashback (see post no. 4476) but by telling the brand of a gun, I spoil the movie...dude?!

P.S.: If people get butthurt so easily regarding spoilers and don‘t wanna even know THAT, maybe they should completely keep out of a thread called „Discuss Bond 25 here“, dude...

French media are reporting that a French-Basque actor, John Sehil, will be filming in Italy in August for Bond25.

His IMDB page shows he's been in lots of French films, but it would appear as an extra as he is 'uncredited' in everything...

Reply to AugustWalker. Yes, some people have blabbed and put spoilers about flashbacks on to this thread. Why make it worse? And by identifying the gun as being the one used by Spectre gunmen in Spectre you are saying, it is a Spectre gunman in the flashback. So, yes, you are compounding spoiler errors on this thread with more errors.

Bond never was dressed on Savile Row. Despite the line in Dr. No, Savile Row was always too stuffy a place for James Bond. Being dressed by off-Row tailors was more appropriate for Bond, and Fleming himself was dressed by a tailor elsewhere in Mayfair. I think Bond should be dressed by a more modern London tailor (definitely not Savile Row), but none of them will be able to afford a Bond film. I like that Tom Ford is inspired by British tailoring, and his clothes can pass for British tailoring, though flashier British tailoring that isn't quite appropriate for Bond.

Agreed. Follow the way Kingsman did it and use real British companies, even if they don't have the largest presence in the world

I think people will find that B25 will have a mix of TF and British brands....some which we have come to know quite well.
  • JTMJTM Posts: 3,027MI6 Agent
Oooooo well definitely sounds like B25 will break the bank as well...not that there was any doubt of that already :007)
  • BarbelBarbel ScotlandPosts: 37,734Chief of Staff
Only a few more posts and we will see if the problem with this page continues to the next one. If so, we'll have to close this thread and start a new one though obviously I'd prefer to avoid that if possible.

Just another pathetic attempt to shoehorning that Kingsman into a perfect 007 topic 8-)

Despite the new spy shots and news that DC has now left new York for Bond duties, is anyone else still being left a bit cold about bond 25? I'm still struggling to build up enthusiasm, for the first time ever about an upcoming bond film.
It was either that.....or the priesthood
  • sniperUKsniperUK UlsterPosts: 594MI6 Agent
I feel exactly the same, no enthusiasm for it at all , making it a direct sequel to the car crash that was Austin Powers 4 kills it for me .

As a big True Detective Season 1 fan - im holding out hope its very dark and serious. The spoiler looked a bit creepy for a Bond film so giving me some enthusiasm.

So glad Mendes isn't in charge again

So, the problem on page 180 hasn't carried over to page 181- at least so far. Fingers crossed.
